One thing that has been wonderful over the past year is that Teresa has been here. Our sister time together has been priceless. We haven't lived in the same city in years, so it has been fun being able to hang out together whenever we want. We get together at least once a week, if more time passes than that it feels like we haven't seen each other in years.
This past weekend Teresa came out to the Brooklyn Botanical Gardens. From 10-12pm on Saturday's its free. It is beautiful this time of year. There is an entire lawn with rows of Cherry Blossom tress bursting with flowers and the branches sagged with the weight of the flowers. The trees were at the peak of blooming and beginning to die, so the color had faded some, but it was pretty as the wind blew it looked like snow falling as the petals fell off the trees.
Most of our outings involve brunch, and this one was wonderful. It was near the Gardens called Cheryl's Global Soul http://cherylsglobalsoul.com/ (thanks to Britney for the recommendation). It was so good. Teresa and I couldn't decide what to get so we ordered an omelet plate, and egg plate, and the pancakes and went to town. We will definitely make sure to see the Gardens in the fall when the trees are turning!

I cherish our sister time here!! Can't wait to see ya tonight ;)
